Hola SLF Family,

Love is in the air! Happy Valentine's Month! We hope your February is filled with an abundance of love and joy. As we celebrate this month of love, we have some exciting updates to share with you.

Firstly, we want to inform you about an important announcement from USCIS: starting April 1, 2024, filing fees will be increasing. So, if you've been considering filing for your marriage-based green card, fiancé visa, or any other application, now is the perfect time to take action and start the process before the fees go up.

Speaking of love and immigration success stories, we are delighted to share the news of our client, Dam Dan, who recently received her green card through marriage. Dam's journey is a beautiful example of love transcending borders, and we couldn't be happier for her.

In addition to celebrating love and immigration victories, we've also been commemorating work anniversaries for various members of our team. Willhelene who recently got promoted as our legal assitant, Grace, and Melissa, our intake specialists, have all reached milestones in their careers with us. We are immensely grateful for their dedication and hard work.

As we continue to assist you in achieving your immigration goals, remember that our team at Solano Law Firm is here to support you every step of the way. Let's make this month of love one to remember by taking proactive steps towards securing your future together.

🖤
Con much amor,

Zaira Solano

  • USCIS Implements Major Fee Increases for Immigration Applications Effective April 1, 2024. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has recently announced its final rule, implementing substantial fee increases for various immigration applications. This adjustment marks the first significant fee change since 2016 and aims to address the operational and financial hurdles faced by the agency. The updated fees are scheduled to be enforced starting April 1, 2024. Therefore, all applications submitted with a postmark after this date will be subject to the new, increased costs.

For more information, please visit: USCIS Fee rule

We need your help to ensure that we file your application before USCIS implements the fee increase on April 1, 2024. We are notifying all our clients about the fee increase. In order to ensure we can finish preparing your case and file your case before the fees increase, we MUST receive payment of your filing fees and all missing documents for your case by March 8, 2024. Please reach out to the paralegal assigned to your case as soon as possible if you are able to pay fees and provide documents.

Please also note that if you have a balance on your account, per our firm policy, you must also pay the balance on your account in addition to filing fees.

We are delighted to share with you the heartwarming journey of one of our cherished clients, Dam Dan, and her husband Richard, as they embarked on the path toward securing Dam's permanent residency in the United States.

Dam Dan, originally from Vietnam, crossed paths with Richard in 2019, igniting a connection that transcended borders and cultures. Their bond grew stronger over time, and in 2021, Dam Dan took a leap of faith, leaving her homeland to join Richard in the United States. Their decision to unite in marriage was a testament to their love and commitment to building a life together.

At Solano Law Firm, we had the honor of accompanying Dam Dan and Richard every step of the way as they navigated the complex process of adjusting status through marriage. Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure that their application for Adjustment of Status (AOS) was meticulously prepared and submitted, adhering to all legal requirements and deadlines.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Dam Dan have successfully obtained her green card. Their love story serves as a beautiful reminder of the transformative power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.

As we celebrate their success, we also reaffirm our commitment to serving our clients with excellence and compassion. At Solano Law Firm, we are dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve their immigration goals and realize their dreams of a better future.
